How to Banish Eye Bags

Are you one of those people who has eye bags that make the airport security want to charge for excess baggage? Well, it’s a good thing you stumbled upon this article. Because I will give you tips on how to banish your eye bags. Never look like a derange bug again.

First off: to remove eye bags, you need to determine the cause of the puffiness. Eye bags could be the result of your horrible diet and lifestyle. Sleeping in a prone position could lead to puffy eyes in the morning. Maybe you had a lovers’ quarrel last night and cried yourself to sleep. Lack of sleep is also a potent cause of these ugly bags and circles around your eyes. It also could be due to an existing allergy.

Finding out the root of the problem will give you options on how to deal with it. If your eye bags are due to aging, there are only few solutions available and they involve some kind of needles.

Despite the different variables involved, the only thing that remains constant is collagen. Collagen is responsible for our skin’s elasticity. As we age, our collagen production decreases, resulting to our skin losing its elasticity. When this happens, our skin can no longer than handle the fat underneath our eyes. Then, gravity does its work in pulling everything downward, including the fat under our eyes. The result is sagging skin containing fats, which we call eye bags.

The only possible solution is by replenishing the lost collagen. How do we do that? Indulge in collagen drinks and other food items that contain collagen. Creams from high end to drugstore brands only provide temporary moisture, but they not respond to the shortage of collagen in the body. Do your research and find out where in your locale sells collagen-based skin drinks.

Regular use of day and night eye creams also work. Find the one that is compatible with your skin, non-comedogenic and has restorative, anti-aging specifications. Day creams must have an SPF of at least 20 well.

If your puffy eyes are temporary—lack of sleep or crying the night before—use a few minutes to apply cold compress. Put ice inside a handkerchief or face towel and dab it for a few seconds. You can also pop a spoon inside a freezer for at least 1 minute and press the back part of the spoon against your eyes. Repeat as often as you like until the bags disappear and your eyes look “awake”. To lessen visibility, you may also use concealers, BB creams, or tinted moisturizers.

There is no shortcut in banishing eye bags. Even make up cannot conceal the sagging skin underneath your eyes. Undereye creams and cucumber slices are great, but loading on collagen and sleeping right is your best weapon in kicking those eye bags away.
